I was thrilled to be asked to The Iron Lady Premiere by Olivia Colman. We have been working together for sometime now and this really was a special moment to be involved in. Meryl Streep, Jim Broadbent and the rest of the cast were to be there too, so I was all of a flutter to say the least. The red carpet, or blue in this instance, was flashing dramatically with photographers vying for the attention of the stars. From a distance it is incredible to see and walking into the sea of light was quite remarkable, I have no idea how film stars deal with this all the time.
Olivia looked fabulous in a black taffeta Vivienne Westwood gown, Prada heels and jewellery by Asprey. The asymmetric collar line was stunning and the look was effortlessly glamourous. Due to the filthy wind and rain, coats were firmly on during the walk in, only the very brave left them in the cars.
Something happened to my flash!
One of those young ladies was Alexandra Roach, who plays Margaret Thatcher in the younger years. She looked beautiful in a bright yellow silk Emilia Wickstead dress, complimented with black patent Christian Louboutin heels.
Meryl was there, as was Jim Broadbent among others. Seeing legends that close was truly remarkable, a night to remember.
