Its Love

You can tell from my site that I am an avid Burberry fan, so to be invited to the Burberry Brit store opening in Covent Garden last week was amazing. My excitement was heightened even more by the fact Christopher Bailey would be there (in a non stalker way obviously). As we arrived the door was flanked by many of the press office looking incredible in Burberry leathers and killer heels, so much so it put me to shame and just made me crave a jacket all the more. The store is very slick, clean, futuristic almost - check out the Beijing offering too.

Inside the Store

Life in Film

Once inside, the space opened up into a cavernous room, with a stage at the back where Life in Film were to perform later. Steadily the room filled with musicians, fashion editors from publications such as i-D and Wonderland and celebrities from the world of Burberry including Julia Restoin-Roitfeld, Lily Donaldson and Cara Delevingne.

Lily Donaldson

Whilst Christopher Bailey was being interviewed by a fellow fashion lady and friend from vogue.com, I chatted away to Sophie Kennedy-Clark, star of the SS and AW campaigns, shot by Mario Testino. She was so lovely and was telling me how the Burberry family is just as its portrayed, warm, friendly and down to earth, at which point she saw a fellow family members and shot off for a catch up.

Watching Mr Bailey being interveiwed and later circulate, he looks at ease, he looks happy and delightfully he looks passionate when he speaks about his work, no dead eye press junket, just a desire to relay the message to the masses. Keep going please!
