SS11 Trends Story

Another weekend, another shoot, this time a high end designer SS11 Trends story. Sarah Griggs was shooting and we had opted for a really clean set of white for four shots and pale grey for four shots with our eight chosen trends. Hamilton Stansfield was with us for hair, a rare delight as he is usually so booked in advance cutting and styling the stars that we never get a chance to work together. Who else but the lovely Chloe Butcher could be on duty for a completely different vibe of make up, natural for our fabulous model Nadya.

As the clothes were changing so dramatically with each shot the hair and makeup need to be the link between the shots. Sarah and I had been inspired by some plaited hair shots and after sharing our ideas Hamilton got to work.

In the beginning: Nadya has the plaits twisted into her hair.

Starting to weave the back of the hair.

My rails of clothes looked so bright and beautiful, in the mix there was metallic from Burberry Prorsum, print from Erdem, colour blocking from Victoria Beckham and Vanessa Bruno all topped off with accessories from Lara Bohinc, Lanvin, Brioni and Louis Vuitton.

Shoes, Glorious Shoes...

Lanvin and Brioni

Neon from Miu Miu and sequins at Louis Vuitton, plus Lara B for the gold.

A happy team is a creative team I have generally found. It was fair to say we were happy:

Team happy.

Discussions and snaps: Nadya wearing Victoria Beckham and Vanessa Bruno

Nadja in Alexander Mcqueen and Charlotte Olympia for the white/minimal trend.

Metallic Burberry Prorsum with Rose pumps by Brian Atwood, for Victoria Beckham.

This was Nadya's favourite, a beautifully constructed Zac Posen gown, in it she said she felt like a princess. It's a total Oscars red carpet piece and here I am wrestling with the hundreds of layers in the skirting.

Hamilton and Chloe are just perfecting the lace look as lovely Nadya stands patiently... well actually she was jiggling about to the music but it does not translate in this shot....should have done some VT.

The shots are done and having a few polishing tweaks with retouch and when they come back I shall post them up. All shiny and perfection. I'll keep you updated.
