NYC Fashion Week.... favourites so far

There has been a varied selection of shows so far in New York with a few early trends beginning to emerge. Presentations, The Lake & Stars/NAHM, to runway shows Doo.Ri/Rag and Bone, there is always something for everyone. The big guns began to show, literally in wild west DVF runway, over the weekend. Then there were Alexander Wang, Victoria Beckham (who was rumoured to be showcasing a shoe line this season, adding to her accessories) and Tommy Hilfiger.

I shall keep tabs on Paris and compile one from there too, ne fret pas, as I was once told. Too much to tell and so little time

New York fashion week has had it all weather wise, sunshine and showers and apparently if the fashion pack stayed until next week, they may see some snow just to complete the Seasons. This has been playing havoc with the front row dress, but being the true professionals they are, they have not been wrong footed. From thigh high boots, leather shorts, plenty of camel - naturally as the colour of the Season, and the staple sunglasses. However probably the most famous sunglasses wearer, Anna Wintour, has been spotted without them on occasion this week, mon dieu!

Heart on my sleeve

Following in a similar feel to the Preen show, Alexander Wang produced a great line of coats, all sorts of sizes, shapes and fabrics. Mix and match leather to wool to velvet, makes me want to reach out to feel the clothes. Skin showing through translucent shirts and cut away tops increases the femininity of the pin stripe suit, power dressing with a wink!
