Primark Preview

Years ago I found gems in these small shops, unknown and dotted about. Those that know me are highly familiar with my "Marc Jacobs flower top" finished with details of accordion pleating at the shoulder and as such it really did not look like a piece that cost under £10. The the label went and exploded and I think the quality suffered in doing so. Then the enormous, if not over whelming Oxford Street branch launched and every teenagers dream was right there, ready to give up to the minute trends that were within budget seven days a week.

Rolling through to the end of the year, and so making our impulse buys not quite so frivolous as first imagined...forward thinking, ahead of the game, lucky, call it what you will.

Here comes the colour

So patiently in the wings the rainbows of colour have been waiting, but my how they have stormed the stage. Betsy Johnson, DKNY, and Marc Jacobs have led the charge against the pale and interesting. Betsey Johnson and Donna Karen both went with the New York theme, which followed through in the the backdrops and stage. Betsey, a riot of clashing and vivid prints dominated and with DKNY a more controlled and tailored approach. Marc Jacobs on the other hand went somewhere in between. Back to the 70's, the flamboyant hair and and make up complimented the very boho chic collections.
